COLOR, RESOLUTION & FONTS:
All colors should be defined as CMYK or grayscale (for black & white ads) before files are submitted. Please submit a 100% size color hard copy proof with your digital files.
Photoshop tif and eps files should be high resolution—300dpi for glossy print and 170dpi for newsprint. Images enlarged in a layout will have a lower effective resolution.
Illustrator vector art is resolution independent, but image files placed in Illustrator must be high resolution CMYK or grayscale images.
Convert fonts to outlines when possible. Otherwise, include all fonts with your support files.
When creating high resolution Adobe Acrobat PDF files, follow the guidelines above for the original document. Also make sure images are distilled to no less than 300dpi, and fonts have been converted to outlines or are embedded (100% subset) in the PDF.
